The River state Governor Chief Nyesom Wike and Minister of Transportation Mr. Chibuike Amaechi have disagreed on the issue of security in the state.
Amaechi, the former Governor said the curfew imposed by wike is a sign of failed administration. He said there is insecurity in the state because of the high level of unemployment. Amaechi said during his own time he chases criminals out of the state and creates opportunities.
Amaechi express regrets that the present governor was acquiring properties in the state without considering the safety and welfare of the people.
Wike responded in his statement by his Special Assistant on media Melvin Ebiri said security is the sole responsibility of the federal government.
Wike said Amaechi has been the one appointing a commission of police since 2015, so if security fails he should be blamed. He suggested that Amaechi should return to Abuja to resolve the financial issues instead of coming home to disturb.
