The G5 met with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja, according to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also known by their collective name as the Integrity Group, paid the President a visit at the White House.

The delegation includes former governors Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Nyesom Wike (Rivers).

Makinde told the media that the conversation was primarily about nation-building, which he claimed called for assessment and consultation.

“It’s challenging to develop a nation. Continuous evaluation is required. To inform the President of what is happening, we must keep meeting with him.

“The G-5, the Integrity Group, came to let the President know what we stand for: fairness, justice, and equity,” he added.

This week, Tinubu has already met with the Oyo helmsman and Wike twice at the Presidential Villa.

The G5 was established after Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, became the PDP’s presidential candidate in May of last year.
