Qataris readying Man Utd takeover, huge Bid Expected, Full Takeover

The present owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, gave prospective purchasers until the middle of February to submit their offers. According to The Daily Mail, a Qatari consortium is “confident” that it will outbid the rivals. Erik ten Hag’s management team will have tremendous financial support if the deal is approved to help United push to the top of English football.

Man Utd wants more than £6 billion ($7.2 billion) for the team and wants any offer to include a plan to renovate Old Trafford, which could cost an additional £2 billion ($2.4 billion).

The Qatari investors are pressing for a complete takeover and have no interest in a partial ownership. They will have competition from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the richest man in Britain, who has already stated his interest in purchasing the club. Ratcliffe has always supported United.

Any buyout would require Premier League clearance and probably face a lot of resistance because of Qatar’s track record on human rights.
