Akwa Ibom State Government will on Friday, September 24, 2021, host Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who will be on official visit to the state.
Osinbajo, during the one-day visit to the state, will unveil the Dakkada Luxury Estate in Uran Local Government Area of the state, and the 21-storey Dakkada Towers located within the banking estate in Uyo.
The visit by the vice president and the inauguration of projects are part of activities to mark the 34th anniversary of the state creation. Akwa lbom State was created in September 23, 1987,
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ini Ememobong, announced the visit of the vice president to the state while briefing journalists yesterday on some of the activities to mark the anniversary of the state creation.
According to him, “On Friday, His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will be in Akwa Ibom State to inaugurate the Dakkada estate. When he lands at the airport, he will make his first stop at the Dakkada luxury estate to flag it off.
“The Dakkada estate is designed to provide maximum affordable housing for the people.
“When he flags off the Dakkada luxury estate, he would move immediately to the central business district of Uyo where he will inaugurate the Dakkada Towers.
“It is a smart intelligent building fitted with the best communication and security gadgets. When he is done with that, his official visit to Akwa Ibom State would have come to an end.”
