NTA reporter and three others gets kidnapped along Bauchi-Jos highway

Abdulwab Babankanti, a Jos reporter for the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), and three of his pals were taken hostage by gunmen on the highway between Bauchi and Jos.

Babankanti and the other victims were kidnapped on January 30, 2023, in the Toro community while traveling from Bauchi to Jos, according to a family source who corroborated the occurrence.

The insider informed the news portal The State of Plateau, “We learned of their kidnapping when the kidnappers contacted to confirm that they seized them.

He added that the kidnappers want N10 million in ransom to release the victims.
