Nigeria needs a “deliverer,” not a leader, says Oyedepo

The nation needs a deliverer who would save it from insecurity and economic collapse, according to Bishop David Oyedepo, President of Living Faith Church Worldwide.
Speaking at Shiloh 2022 with the focus on Covenant Highways at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, Oyedepo recalled warning Nigerians in 2015 that the nation was approaching trauma.
He said: “I warned this country in 2015 that you are trading for trauma without realizing it, but nobody listened. Now, the only thing Nigeria is recognized for, despite insecurity and economic ruin, is the Church.”
Nigeria, he claimed, needed a deliverer, not a leader.
“I am not and will never be a politician. Although I long ago left that realm, this land needs to rest.
Oyedepo encouraged his followers to ask God to send a deliverer to Nigeria so that people might have peace of mind.
If you care about Nigeria, you should pray that God will send us a deliverer and restore our rest.
