Manchester United suffer huge injury blow as Christian Eriksen is ruled out for THREE MONTHS with ankle injury

Christian Eriksen’s ankle injury sustained as a result of Andy Carroll’s careless lunge on Saturday will sideline him for at least three months, dealing a severe blow to Manchester United’s injury woes.
After Carroll tackled him from behind during the 3-1 FA Cup victory, the 30-year-old midfielder sustained the injury, and he was later spotted exiting Old Trafford on crutches.
The playmaker will have a lengthy recovery period, as scan results have verified United’s suspicions.
United posted a statement on the club website expressing their profound outrage about the occurrence. It stated: “Christian Eriksen, a midfielder for Manchester United, is anticipated to miss a significant amount of time due to an ankle injury sustained during our Emirates FA Cup triumph over Reading on Saturday.
The Reading striker Andy Carroll, who was eventually sent off for two bookable offenses, caught our Danish midfielder in a tackle during the second half of our 3-1 victory.
If his recovery goes according to plan, his return should happen in late April or early May. The team is still holding out hope that he will be able to play again before the end of the season.
Eriksen yelled in anguish during the second half of the match on Saturday, and was subsequently seen leaving the stadium while using crutches and a protective boot. It was instantly obvious that damage had been done.
During his news conference on Tuesday, Ten Hag said the following regarding the injury: “Of course, he’s upset, and we are disappointed, but it happens in professional football, and you have to deal with it.
‘As you mentioned, things are different on deadline day; you can’t make policy on such severe injuries, but we have players in the midfield department who are good players and who can step in to cover the void.
“I don’t believe you can ever replace that (gap) since every player has his own unique qualities, identification, and another player will always fill in in a different way, but it doesn’t mean you have to be less successful,” the author says.
“It’s fairly obvious that Eriksen adds top quality to our team and he has some specifics that are difficult to replace, like his effects with his final ball in the final third,” the author said.
The Dutchman predicted that Fred, who scored United’s third goal on Saturday, will succeed Eriksen in the coming months.
