Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, The Nigerian Chief Of Army Staff Is Dead.

It was a black friday in Nigeria as the COAS is announced dead.

The army first man died on Friday In a military plane crash enroute Kaduna from Abuja.

This was officially announced on the Twitter page of the Nigerian army. In their post:

The Nigerian Army regrets to announce the passing away of its Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru. The sad event occurred following an air crash in Kaduna which also claimed the lives of 10 other officers including the crew.

Details of the accident and funeral arrangement will be announced soon, Mohammed Yerima  Brigadier General Director Army Public Relations said.
