LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time top scorer, intends to continue playing for “a few more years”

LeBron James, a star in the NBA, has promised to continue playing after passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to hold the record for most points scored in NBA history.
The Lakers forward, 38, needed 36 points to break the scoring mark going into the game against Oklahoma City, and he finished with 38 points in a 133-130 defeat.
With regard to his achievement, James stated: “I know I can play a couple more years. The way I’m feeling, and the way my body has been responding to me throughout this course of the season, I know I can play a couple more years.””I feel like I can go out there and still assist win several championships or win a championship for any group of players, for any franchise, so that’s my mindset,” the player said.
It’s so unbelievable, he said, since it’s something I never intended to achieve or set out to do.
James needed 36 points to break Abdul-record Jabbar’s of 38,387 established in 1989 going into the game versus OKC. On 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter, he broke the record with a signature fadeaway jumper.
In a series of video greetings, celebrities like Rihanna, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and basketball greats Stephen Curry and Shaquille O’Neal praised James for pulling off the feat.
James was directly questioned on the TNT panel by O’Neal about whether or not he was the unquestioned Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). He said:
‘I always feel like I’m the best to ever play this game but there’s so many other great ones and I’m just happy to be a part of their journey.’
This was an historic night with Abdul-Jabbar courtside to pass the torch on with his record finally toppled.
