The 44 Center officers who were in charge of organizing the 2023 Hajj exercise in their various local government areas have been fired by Kano State Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

This was said in a statement that his press secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, signed.

According to the announcement, the Governor appointed temporary officials to manage the state’s ongoing Hajj operations in their stead.

However, he gave the newly appointed officers orders to start working on fulfilling their duties and reporting to the State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s new Director-General for additional guidance at the Board’s Headquarters.

Amb. Mohammad Danbatta was fired by the governor, and Alhaji Laminu Rabiu was named the new Director-General of the Board.

This occurred a few hours before the state’s planned pilgrims’ airlift begins.
