If elected, I will lower the expense of governing. -Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has stated that, if elected in the upcoming presidential election set for February 23, he will lower the cost of governing.
In his Monday speech to the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, he made this known via his official Twitter account.
He wrote in a tweet, “We will work with the CBN to reduce the “ways and means” to what is permitted by law and for a more transparent and liberalized foreign exchange market.”
While pledging to pursue a strong program during the administration of the President, he also stated that he would work with Nigeria’s creditors to restructure and maybe erase their debt.
He declared, “We will work toward a zero-based national budget to eliminate the thinking and reality of prior non-performing national budgets frequently plagued by fiscal deficit overhangs.
All security agencies, the EFCC, and the ICPC would be strengthened to support our resolve to combat and dramatically lessen corruption, he added.
