Fuel subsidy: NLC declares nationwide strike
By A statewide strike has been called to begin on Wednesday of the next week, according to the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
During a meeting of its National Executive Council, or NEC, the union made this disclosure in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The meeting was not unrelated to President Bola Tinubu’s elimination of fuel subsidies and the accompanying increase in the price of gasoline at the pump, according to Channels TV.
The National Executive Council (NEC) is made up of the presidents, general secretaries, and treasurers of each NLC affiliate union, as well as the chairs of the NEC’s youth committee and the state councils of the NLC.
