Recall that the revered Islamic Scholar GUMI has been in the news lately for various concerns relating to bandits and crime, and the most recent which was: brokering the release of the 29 students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State with the former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
The former Minister took to his Twitter account to vent his dissatisfaction with Gumi.
He speaks peace but war is in his heart. Behind his seemingly gentle visage and soft words lies a hungry and insatiable wolf that thirsts for blood.
The former minister stated that those who trust Gumi do so at their own peril.
His comment was followed by a mix of different comments both from supporters and those who felt he was not saying it rightly.
For example, a Twitter account owner @MahmudZakariya replies with:
no amount of abuse or name-calling will affect the integrity of the respected Sheikh. The way reasonable people like your former boss president Obasanjo respects the Sheikh makes every allegation against the Sheikh GUMI null and void and of no effect.
Another Twitter account own @AjammaS has this to say:
My surprise is that how Gumi who is not a trained intelligence or police officer or neither a military could locate the hideout of bandits & terrorists while our trained DSS, Police & military couldn’t. I think something fishy is going on. I repeat Gumi should be arrested.
You can say that again FFK. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing
