A recent speech by President Muhammadu Buhari about insecurity and the 1967-1970 civil war where many Igbo Lives were lost have been deleted by Twitter.
The tweet, which was posted on Tuesday, had the President say:
Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.
From the various comments which followed suit before it was removed, showed the post did not go down well with many Nigerians who felt Buhari’s genocidal post was insensitive particularly as his administration had not spoken hard on northern elements who cause trouble in the country.

Still on the Buhari speech on Twitter, according to Punch NG, after several complaints to Twitter about the post’s tendencies to embolden agitators across the country, the social media giant finally did the needful by deleting the tweet.
While President Buhari’s supporters might see this as embarrassing to the Nigerian President, recall that a much heavier action was taken against an incumbent president of the United States, Donald J Trump.
