President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered law enforcement agencies to do a thorough probe and bring to justice everyone involved in the murder of Dr Rabe Nasir, Katsina commissioner of science and technology.
Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement titled, ‘President Buhari condemns Katsina Commissioner’s murder, says killers must be found’.
In a statement Thursday night, Buhari described Rabe’s killing as heinous and condemnable said he is deeply anguished by the tragic killing of the up-and-coming leader who had served his community, state and the nation with utmost diligence. He extended his condolences to the family saying “My thoughts are with the bereaved family.”
Nasir, a former Department of State Security officer worked with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja.
The late commissioner represented Mani/Bindawa Federal constituency for four years. He was Gov. Aminu Masari’s aide in science and technology from 2015 to 2019 before he was elevated to the status of a commissioner.
