Breaking: Police recover three kidnapping victims in Abuja

Three of the hostages taken during an armed robbery at the Kubwa Relocation Estate off Arab Road have been freed by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.

In a statement released early on Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the news.

The perpetrators departed the site with four victims, probably to help them avoid being apprehended by the encroaching police reaction unit sent to the area in response to a prompt intervention, according to Adeh.

The two gunshot victims were sent to the hospital right away for treatment, however Oshodi was unable to recover and was later pronounced dead by a doctor, while Abdulwahab is still receiving care.
